Admission to Communion
Growing in Faith and Worship
Admission to Communion prepares baptised children to receive the bread and wine of Holy Communion before Confirmation. It helps them understand the Eucharist and participate more fully in the worshipping life of the Church.
The programme introduces children to prayer, worship, the Bible, the sacraments and what it means to belong to the Christian community.

The Preparation Journey
Children participate in a period of age-appropriate teaching before being admitted to Communion. Parents and guardians are encouraged to support the child by attending worship regularly and continuing conversations about faith at home.
Course dates, requirements and the Admission to Communion service will be communicated by the parish.
